TopStep, home of pool safety
TopStep, the home of pool safety, is a CSI initiative created by PowerPlastics Pool Covers many years ago to lower the child drowning statistics. As an educational resource, it has multiple purposes:
- share knowledge on how to secure a pool in line with the SABS safety Standard SANS 10134, and why all pool owners should comply
- educate on the leading safety cover – the PowerPlastics Solid Safety Cover, and other methods of securing a pool
- share practical advice on how to avoid a drowning incident and what to do when a drowning is taking place
- to offer a safe space where others can share their personal experiences and advice
This resource has always had wide industry support and we have also worked with the NSRI, another water safety-focused organisation.
